UPDATE: The Amazon Alexa application is now officially available for download from the Windows Store. Please go to our Amazon Alexa app for Windows 10 to read reviews and download the application.
Amazon Alexa is a digital assistant developed by Amazon. Until now, Alexa is being used on the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot smart speakers. Alexa can help you set reminders, get the latest news, weather reports, play music, and make a list of tasks.
In addition to Amazon’s smart speakers, Alexa is also available for iOS, Android, and Windows OS. While iOS and Android users can get it from their respective stores, there is no official way to download Alexa for Windows OS.
Until now, Amazon Alexa is being shipped with certain HP, Lenovo laptops, Asus and Acer. In short, the Alexa application is out there for PCs but is not officially available for download to everyone.
If you have tried Alexa on your smartphone or loudspeaker and like this new virtual assistant, you can also get it on your Windows 10 PC. But because it is not officially available for everyone, you need to download the Alexa settings from an unofficial source.
Before you install, keep in mind that you have to enter the Alexa application using your Amazon account to use Alexa.
Windows 10 users may not want to install Alexa because there is a built-in virtual assistant called Cortana in Windows 10. As you know, Cortana can do more than Alexa on a PC. It is said that Alexa is not far behind. In our tests, this worked perfectly and impressed us.

Using Amazon Alexa on Windows 10 PC
You need to click the blue Alexa button on the application to start using Alexa on your PC and the command to wake up Alexa will not work.
That said, you can use Ctrl + Shift + A hotkey to wake Alexa even if it runs in the background (running in the system tray) or minimized.
When you close Alexa by clicking the close button, Alexa is moved to the tray (you can wake Alexa when it is in the system tray with the help of Ctrl + Shift + A). Click the hamburger icon to access settings, exit the application and exit your Amazon account.
